Risk-Based Safety - Workplace Safety Self-Assessment Tool©

This assessment is designed to give workplace managers and contractors an overview of the arrangements needed to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.

It is intended to be helpful—an effective means of evaluating policies, systems, and practices so that any shortcomings can be addressed and action plans can be developed for continual improvement.

While this tool is valuable for assessment, it also provides evidence to relevant authorities that a thorough evaluation has been conducted to ensure safety measures are in place.

You may find it useful to have the assessment reviewed by an independent assessor who can either sign off on your work or suggest improvements.

This tool is largely based on UK legislative requirements and the contents of ISO 9001, 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
