Everyday Workplace Health & Safety

Back in 2020, I created some workplace safety checklists during a significant health crisis. I was pleasantly surprised by how widely they were shared — many even reaching businesses overseas, which was quite unexpected.

Here in the UK, we’ve largely moved beyond that specific crisis, not because health risks have disappeared, but because most people have developed immunity and our government is focused on economic recovery. To update this resource, I’ve created a final version of these checklists below.

Note that Google altered some of the formatting when I tried to upload my Excel spreadsheets, so I converted them to Google Forms format. Typical Google issues, but it means you can edit the text if needed.

My approach is based on these professional opinions:

These are now “lightweight” checklists because workplace practices have evolved, based on my professional assessment of best practices. But who’s to say I’m right?

For further guidance and assistance, please refer to the documents below. They should provide valuable help in implementing the safety practices mentioned.

I also support a local charity, so if anyone wishes to make a donation, it would be greatly appreciated.
